Zum Zeichnen auf Transparentpapier, Zeichenpapier und Zeichenkarton. Der rOtring rapidograph hat anstelle eines normalen Tuschetanks eine sogenannte Kapillarpatrone. Dabei sind Tuschetank und Tuschewendel aus einem Guss, d. h. immer dann, wenn der Tuschevorrat verbraucht ist und eine neue Kapillarpatrone eingesetzt wird, erhält dieser Tuschefüller auch eine frische, saubere Tuschewendel bzw. ein komplett neues Druckausgleichssystem. Das Druckausgleichssystem braucht also nicht gereinigt zu werden.
